The Securis® Corporation was founded to make available to all Hogan users the
data protection software for the new millennium. Hogan Users have asked for a
comprehensive security solution for over a decade and now here it is...packaged
and complete as a stand-alone Umbrella interface system: XEC Datavault!

Up until now, financial institutions have been left to develop their own means
of securing Hogan data with their enterprise data security system. Time restraints
and the lack of technical expertise have prohibited the development of in-house
security solutions. The stopgaps that have been implemented are not comprehensive.
Their weakness leaves systems ripe for security breaches, which could result in
untold losses from internal mishap and deliberate fraud.

Michael H. Smith, the technical architect of XEC, studied the issues that inhibited
full data security for Hogan users for many years at various financial institutions.
He and a team of programmers took special care and designed a robust security
system offering a comprehensive solution to the long-standing security dilemma.

The XEC® Datavault Security System was developed to provide a complete range
of online security services for all Hogan products that run in the Umbrella environment.
Data security is controlled by the organization's enterprise data security system
(ACF2, RACF, Top Secret, etc) where it should be rather than at the front-end
platforms or within the application programs.
